Function of Casting Powder :

1.Heat Insulation
Greatly improving the operation condition of CCM shop by decreasing heat radiation.
With good performance of Heat Insulation, to avoid casting problems and accidents caused by heat loss, such as cracks, skin holes etc.

2. Air Isolation
Avoiding reoxidation of molten steel and surface carbonization by separation from the air, ensure the quality of billet / bloom / plate.

3. Good Lubrication
Greatly Decreasing the friction force between molten steel and mould tube by forming lubrication film .to avoid steel bonding problems.

4. Purifying
Casting powder absorbs & fuses impurity efficiently to purify molten steel

5. Heat transfer
Casting powder Improves heat transfer characteristics during continuous casting
